TBFM ‘Best Bassist of 2015’ Finalist!
Thank you all so much for your votes on the TBFM Awards! With your help, I made it to the shortlist of just 5 of the ‘Best Bassists of 2015’ – ready to be picked by judges and announced at the awards night on Saturday 30th January, at The Marrs Bar, Worcester.
In addition to this, my heavy metal band Triaxis have also been voted into the shortlist for “Best British Band”, “Best New Album (Zero Hour)” and “Best Album Artwork (Zero Hour)”, with our vocalist Krissie Kirby voted into the top 5 for “Best Singer”.
This year has been fantastic for me, releasing 2 albums (Control The Storm, Triaxis) a bunch of singles (IDestroy, Triaxis covers), and getting airplay worldwide. 2015 also held my first performances outside of the UK – the Triaxis tour in Netherlands and Belgium in March, IDestroy’s Anfi Rock Sound Festival in Spain in June, and the french tour depping for The Flatmates in July. There was also 3 brilliant Control The Storm UK tours and a Triaxis performance at the amazing Bloodstock festival – totaling in about 85 gigs so far this year.
Next up on the awards process is a judge decision about who of the 5 shortlisted are going to win in each category. Thank you TBFM for putting together this great way of giving recognition to those working hard under the radar in the music industry. There is some serious quality in every category this year, and I look forward to meeting many of you at the live awards night next month!
